| Old Town is steeped in history. It was the original early mediaeval settlement. The remains of a mediaeval harbour can be seen in the bay. Services are still held in Old Town Church by candle light on Sunday evenings. The churchyard contains many fascinating graves and headstones as a result of the numerous ship wrecks around the isles. | | Many lovely walks stem from Old Town around the coastal paths or inland through the Lower Moors nature Trail Seals can often be seen out in Old Town Bay. You can enjoy a swim at high tide or explore the rock pools at low tide
